BFI Future Film Festival

The BFI Future Film Festival is now in its 5th year and aims to give 15-25 year olds a unique opportunity to showcase their films and gain essential knowledge and skills from some of the UK biggest names in the film industry. This years festival will feature actor Dexter Fletcher, who’s directorial debut “Wild Bill” will be getting a special screening, Will Sharp & Tom Kingsley Bafta nominated directors of “Black Pond” and VFX expert Ed Hall who is about to start working on the new James Bond film.

TNC is proud to share our next interview with a Future Film Festival nominated filmmaker Alfie Barker, director of the drama The Witness which is nominated in the Best Film category. At 15 Alfie won a £40,000 competition beating filmmakers from all over the UK and has already shown great potential as a filmmaker with his maturity and willingness to take hard subject which are producing thought-provoking films.

Future Film Festival 2012: Bexie Bush Named Best Animation WINNER For “Ever Hear A Postman Whistle”

Today was the first day of the 5th BFI Future Film Festival on London’s South Bank which has now become a firm fixture in the film festival calendar. The Future Film Festival has three award categories Best Animation, Best Drama, and Best Documentary with the films been screened during the awards and a winner announced at the end.
