The Sage Gateshead will be celebrating the bicentenary of Mendelssohn’s birth with a magnificent performance of the composer’s best loved oratorio ‘Elijah’ with Northern Sinfonia and Northern Sinfonia Chorus on Sunday 19th April.

On the 26th February 2009 world renound Argentina musician Chango Spasiuk comes to The Sage Gateshead for an intimate performance in Hall Two. Hailing from the North East where the chamame folk music tradition is ingrained in the fabric of that community Spasiuk’s music reaches deep in to soul.
