Music Preview & Listings: The Candle Thieves

The Candle Thieves will be releasing their new single ‘Breathing (Just For You)’ on March 21st on Carnival Town Records. Scott McEwan and The Glock, from Peterborough have just returned from a back to back tour with Badly Drawn Boy and Boy Least Likely To. Their music has been compared to such acts as the mighty Eels, Sufjan Stevens and the Lucksmiths.

Gig Preview: Liam Bailey To Support Plan B, Brighton 9/03

When a voice comes along like Liam Bailey’s people sit up and listen hard. Already proved his worth with the release of his two EPs last year – 2am Rough Tracks and So Down, Cold. And has toured with the incredible Chase and Status last year after quest vocal duties on their smash Blind Faith single.

TNC is proud to have the opportunity of interviewing Liam when he comes to Brighton Centre tomorrow supporting Plan B in what is set to be on of the musical highlights of 2011. His voice is so rich, powerful, soulful and with the release of his new single “You better Leave Me” on the 13th March Liam Bailey is set to make 2011 his year.

As well as supporting Plan B on the remainder of his UK dates - Tues 8th Plymouth Pavilions, Wed 9th Brighton Center & Thurs 10th London O2 Arena - he will also be supporting Brit Award Winner Jessie J on her first UK Headlining Tour.

Introducing – NEW THOMAS TANTRUM VIDEO ‘SLEEP’

‘Sleep’ is the new single from Southampton based four-piece Thomas Tantrum and will be released on March 27th through new label Stranger Records. The tongue-in-cheek kitsch computer animated video is now up on youtube. Their music is described as summery pop, and it will certainly try and drag you from the gloom of winter.

Tantrum has already impressed the likes of 6 Music and XFM, and was produced by Rick Macnamara (ex Embrace) and mixed by Ash Howes (who has worked with the likes of Ellie Goulding and Plan B)
