The weather is un-englishly warm today, which must mean only one thing: no, we haven’t started on an apocalyptic spiral towards the end of the world as we know it due to Climate Change (well, not yet, anyway) – in actual fact it means that summer is almost here; the football season is nearly over and put to bed for another year; and, more importantly, it’s FA Cup Final time!

This afternoon, at 3pm, Chelsea take on Everton in the 2009 FA Cup Final in a match which will be aired in England and Wales live on ITV 1 and, for those of us who are in Scotland, on ITV.com.

Chelsea go into this match as huge favourites for the game after Everton, who placed sixth in the Barclays Premier League, had by far the more difficult semi-final passage, beating Champions Manchester United on penalties. Chelsea, third in the league, beat Arsenal 2-1 in normal time.

This match is Guus Hiddink’s last match in charge of Chelsea – so he’ll be hoping to go out with a bang.

David Moyes, his Evertonian counterpart, will be rallying his troops for another defensive shutout and trying to pinch a goal or two on the counter-attack.

Whatever happens today, it would be great if we could have some more daytime TV swearing from hot headed Didier Drogba of Chelsea, and also if this match is as good as the Champions League Final was in midweek.

Let us know who you think will win – or want to win – below.
