Wednesday night saw the launch of the 2012 BFI Future Film Festival which aims to give 15-25 year olds the unique opportunity to come and gain essential knowledge and skills from some of the UK biggest names in the industry.

The Brooklyn band hot our radar not long back with their stunning debut EP with anthem-like lead single “The Rain Becomes The Clouds” being one of the best pop songs written in some time.

When something new and original comes on to the music scene, it is an exciting moment, and can make you rekindle your love for a certain genre. I had this experience when I first heard “Ships With Holes Will Sink”, an early single from We Were Promised Jetpacks, with it’s raw, furious guitars and heart on your sleeve Scottish vocals, I was hooked.
