Dour Festival is something on a rarity on the festival scene. Not small but not huge Dour has built up a reputation few festivals could manage to muster even if they tried. Relaxed, safe, fun, insane, wet, and a line up you would sell your grandmother to see Dour Festival is truly one of a kind…and all for under 100 Euros.

Ghostpoet, a London based musician, was a name that I first heard during a fleeting conversation with a friend, but someone that I had never taken the time to really find out what he was all about. Heading to the “Magic Soundsystem” tent, it was clear to see that I was not on my own in thinking he would be worth checking out, and seeing what all the fuss was about.

Since the release of the Klaxons first album “Myths of the Near Future”, which came about after two independent releases of the first two singles “Gravity’s Rainbow” and “Atlantis to Interzone”, I’ve been hooked.

One of the biggest names to play yesterday (Friday 15th) at this years festival had to be Pulp, and was personally very excited to see Mr. Jarvis Cocker shake and swoon to the songs which many of us know and love.
