Edinburgh Fringe Festival: The Hermitude of Angus, Ecstatic

“The Hermitude of Angus, Ecstatic” from multi-award winning Australian theatre company Slow Clap is beautifully performed with an inventive and surreal storyline that will keep you talking for days after. The story is delivered as a read-a-long bedtime story with a narrator aiding Spirason antics on stage. A huge book is placed on the stage and over the course of the hour Angus flips the pages revealing the next chapter of his story.

The Life Doctor is a new comedy debuting at Edinburgh fringe by multiple student award winner Phil Wang and Adam Laurence. The comedy takes te form of a TV show hosted by self help guru The Life Doctor.

Edinburgh Fringe Review: Nathan Penlington – Uri and Me

This is a bizarre show. It appears to center on Penlington’s life long desire to emulate Uri Gellar, and yet there remains confusion as to whether he is being ironic. Even Gellar, in the interview that followed the show, raised this. Nonetheless, Penlington succeeds in offering a light hearted background to this phenomenon.

Edinburgh Fringe Review: Hot Tub with Kurt & Kirsten

Kurt Braunohler and Kristen Schaal have brought their infamous New York variety show “Hot Tub” to the Edinburgh Fringe 2011. Last night was the FIRST night of the fringe show and after a 25 minute delay the crowds started to take their seats to shouts from the venue staff of ‘move along the show is sold out so leave no spaces’.
