Before we kick off this incredible announcement we would like every one to know that ALL PROCEEDS from this event with go DIRECTLY to the DEC Haiti Earthquake Appeal!

This is going to be one of the most unique events this year and for such an incredible cause!  From what we can gather almost EVERY group within Brighton has come together to put this night on.  Here are just some of them: Playgroup, Carnivalesque/Harmony in the Community, Roots Garden, Pure Natural Vibes, CooktheRabbit, Same Sky, Jam events, Mr Bongo records, Roots Garden, Margots’ Parties, SWAT, 4print and Design, Penflick podcasts, Adaptatrap, Gigantic and Concorde2 are all on board to support this Fundraiser extravaganza…with more to be announced.

We are going to be working closely with Concorde 2 and the other groups to bring you all the news and info you need to make this THE night you get to help and be part of. Acts confirmed for the night are:

We love these guys and have yet to see them live so are really looking forward to their spot on the 18th! Their sound seems to come from the soul and is the perfect mix of the greatest elements of SKA and Latin to make them more than just the ‘run of the mill’ band. These guys are going to storm and go down a treat!

Manouchska have a great sound and we are lucky to have them be part of this night and adding more to the experience of United Brighton’s Haiti Appeal is The Fat 45.  Their music is going to not just lift your spirits but make you glad you came out to support such a worthy cause.  Tom, news here at The New Current, has seen the guys live (thrice) and tells me they give 110% every time! What more can you ask for?

Brighton Student Radio came together after a brainstorming session between some first year students doing media studies at the University of Brighton. Knowing as they do the need for more student media around their own university  as well as the UK they came up with Brighton Student Radio (BSR).

The aim of  BSR is to give students at Brighton not only one of the best student radio stations in the UK but also the opportunity to be part of a fresh, original, and innovative student radio.  To do this BSR knows they are going to have to work hard with Martin (editor of The Pebble) and Burst (based in Hastings) and the Broadcast Society in bringing a truly unique student media experience.
