What type of Student Media are we?
Students and graduates from all over the UK make up our writers, reviewers, interviewers, and story ideas. But, as with many of the items on our site, we also have enjoyed working with many non-students who have contributed with stories, videos, and interviews for TNC Website.
Having worked in student media before TNC founder and editor Niger, has known the challengers and difficulty students have in trying to be part of student media. One of the most damaging aspect of student media being the fact that for months during the summer there is no productivity.
In just over 2 years TNC has become a nationally recognised student media group producing unique and exclusive content as well as covering some of the worlds most prestigious film and music events.
Our Policy
Our main aims at The New Current is to give students the opportunity and chance to be part of a national student media website. This we know, and hope, will give them some experience in writing, reviews, producing their own stories, interviewing bands and most important of all working within a very diverse team. This will give them the tools they are looking for to be able to continue their development in media.
The New Current is a student run site but our focus is not simply for students. We know that TNC is a great opportunity for students to get involved with a dedicated media group. Our content can range from national elections, sport, or film, there is no limit to the type of content our team can produce.
