Last night saw the 8th annual National Student Film Awards brought to us from their new home at South Bank University. The night was a triumph and proof that events like this, supporting and showcasing some undiscovered talent, is essental for discovering the UK’s newest and brightest filmmakers. The festival over all has been a great success with many of the screenings have near capacity and word of mouth spreading wide about the festival doing it more justice.
The event last night was packed and the surprise from some of the winners was notable.
As a judge at this years festival I was stunned by the quality that was on offer from students of all ages and stages in their careers. The awards where hosted by musician and comedian Jay Foreman.
