Seeing young performers getting involved with the Fringe is a great thing, and Alcatraz is a prime example of it. A new piece, it focuses upon 5 characters, each locked in individual worlds, but impacting or having some effect on one another without their knowing or intent. The plot and themes that run though it sound deep, but relatively simple in their true nature. This piece is a collaboration with Aireborne Theatre, who received rave reviews from publications such as The Scotsman last year.

‘One woman in a hotel room desperately tries to forget the life she left outside.
One man in a hotel room struggles to keep his darkest creations at bay.
One woman in a hotel room tries to remember the man outside.
One man in a hotel room is deafened by the sounds of his own history.
One woman in a hotel room fails to sleep and contemplates a small glass box.’
This looks set to be a fantastic piece, and one not to miss out on at all.
