From what we have been told there has been a great deal of ‘buzz’ about this band and we needed to know ourselves if this was real buzz or PR buzz. Listening to their myspace I think it’s fair to say that this is without question REAL buzz and rightly so.
Their single is available now only by mailorder and at gigs, “Crippled Cute” will be out officially in the UK from March 22nd (digital and limited edition cartoon sleeve cd), anticipated by the single “Unaware Unaware” out Feb. 22nd. This single is without question going to be one of the TOP 10 singles of 2010, it has a perfect balance or music, lyrics, and some kick arse rifts, I love this song!
Damien* have a sound that I wouldn’t want to compare to much with other older bands as their sound comes across very clean, subtle, and aware of what they are doing. Bands are ten a penny and few bands can create a sound, rift, or music that is going to make them stand out in the crowd. Damien* though have managed to do something that other bands should look and pay attention.
Musically the band are tight and the sound they make is beauty, not heavy, not too simplistic, and is a genuine sound that would come on Radio One and would have people clambering for a pen to try and catch the name of the band when the song is finished. There is only TWO chances to see these guys when they come to the UK and they will be a band you will regret, for a long time, if you miss them as they are going to be huge.
