The Last original, and founding, member of one of the most successful and fun girl groups of the past decade Keisha Buchanan has quit the girl group to focus on her solo career after 11 years.
Buchanan, 24, cited “a breakdown in communication” and “lack of trust” on her Twitter profile. Buchanan also said: “Although it was not my choice to leave, it’s time to enter a new chapter in my life, I’ve had a great time and have achieved more then I ever thought I would.”
Berrabah will stay on with existing member Heidi Range and newcomer, this year’s UK Eurovision entrant Jade Ewen.
What does this mean for the girl group as some would say that Buchanan was the mainstay of the band and if she was to get the boot or feel as though she would leave then the band would not be what it was. I guess only time will tell whether or not the ‘babes can continue with the highs they have had in the past.
