Losers complain about radio sausage ads

A radio advert has been aired for sausages which encouraged listeners to reveal “where you like to stick yours” has been criticised by the advertising watchdog.

The adverts for Mattesons smoked sausages gained a whopping 21 complaints from listeners who said they were offensive because of the sexual innuendo and should not have been aired when children were likely to be listening. Once again these upstanding members of the community are al abou the children, but seriously what child is going to get the sexual innuendo with that? I doubt most kids would understand what sexual innuendo means let alone get what the advert is trying to say, but forget all that, what child is listening to radio arnt they all on the streets getting Asbos?

“Think about all the things you can stick this tasty, extraordinarily large sausage in,” one advert said.

“Mmm… Pizza, pasta, stir fry. You have any ideas? Give me a call and tell me where you like to stick it.”

Kerry Foods, which makes the sausages, said its adverts were intended to be tongue-in-cheek and were not designed to be offensive.

The Advertising Standards Authority didn’t uphold the complaints from this great number of complains but did say the adverts could “cause harm to children.” I want to know how!

It ruled the ads should not be aired at times when they were likely to be heard by children.
