Lilly Allen – Pot Calling Kettle?

I am not a fan of BGT and you only have to read the other pieces on our site to understand that I actually DON’T like the show but I thought I would come out and say that LIlly Allen should just shut her spoilt little mouth.  And if she can sing a song I’ll eat my words…

Is it just me or has twitter become the one place where ‘celebs’ can go to be seen and heard by the normals of our society?  Not sure myself, we have a twitter but for the life of me the tweets we get are less than fun and worth our time.  But another sad aspect of this has been the news media, who seem to be picking up way to much from the twitter and the celebs who seem to fight on it.

The latest has been a fight between Lilly Allen – you know the one, the mockney trash ‘singer’ who has done nothing but cling onto the coattails of her famous father – and Susan Boyle.  I mean taking singing advice from Lilly Allen on singing is like taking slimming advice from an anorexic.  You have to give it to her though if she’s not in the newspapers for being a fame hungry two-bit waste of space, she’s on her twitter calling Boyle ‘Overhyped’.

What she actually said:

“I thought her timing was off on Britain’s Got Talent on Sunday – no control, and I don’t think she has an amazing voice.”

I was going to try and get the links in here but for some reason the losers at ITC have blocked the codes so we can’t share them with you.  But one has to look at the facts Boyle was under a great deal of stress and pressure, having been on Oprah, Larry King Live, and a host of other shows all over the world it’s not surprising that the singer fluffed some of the notes.

But in a direct message to Lilly, do me a favour love try and sing, you know really sing, not that sad, slow, whisper you do, you know ‘talk-sing’ which I guess you can only do because you can’t actually sing.  If you can sing any of the songs that Boyle has sang, with pitch and class then fine you can have your opinion.  The fact is you yourself lack the very talent that Boyle has, has to hurt that someone from nowhere has become more known than you.  Nothing sadder than a daddy’s girl spitting her dummy out because she lacks the gift others have.
