How did you get started?

We all met at school and when we discovered that we all played instruments we got together. Things then slowly progressed until we had our first major gig last year.

Were you musical at school?

Yes, in fact we are still at school and all in the same Advanced Higher Music class.

What is your favourite venue to play?

We like the ABC 2, in Glasgow and some other bigger venues. It has a lot to do with the crowd and the fans we have are always great – they really get into the music and lift the atmosphere.

Do you have a favourite band/artist living or dead?

We all have very different musical taste from Indie to metal to jazz and are influenced by a whole range of people and groups living and dead. So no particular favourite.

What has been the best gig you have played?

ABC 2 was very good, with our biggest crowd yet, as was Barfly, Glasgow at Halloween, shame that venue has now had to close. It’s difficult to say really, because they have all been good for different reasons. We enjoyed playing the Winterfest Stage at George Square last year as that was a new experience – check out the video:

Stay – Live @ George Square – 5/01/2009

What city/country would you like to visit?

There are a lot of places linked with the band, France, Hong-Kong, China, and Indonesia so places like that. All the big European cities would be nice.

What would you say about the music scene now?

It’s the best it’s ever been if you know where to look.

Where does your music fit in?

Hopefully everywhere, and with everyone. Popular.

Would you allow your music to be used in commercials/TV?

Yes, that would be fantastic exposure.

If there was one person you could work with who would it be?

There are a lot of people who it would be fantastic to work and record with, but it would probably be whoever was best with us and who understood what we try to achieve and how we went about it. As we said before we have very diverse tastes and we appreciate anyone’s talent and ability.

What would you say the worst thing about touring is?

We haven’t actually done any tours, it’d be good though. The worst thing is most likely going to be being with each other or laughing too much…

What are your worst habits?

Being disorganized, there is a lot of work to do with promotion and ticket sales etc., that you don’t think about when you are starting out….it gets very stressful.

What drives your music and your passion?

Playing and enjoying what we can do. There is a lot of talent in the band, it’s great to explore that and make good music.

How do you write your music?

One of us will come up with an original riff or lick that we build upon, adding structure and more ideas. The lyrics come last.

What have you go planned for the rest of the year, you playing any festivals?

We are doing more gigs in Glasgow and playing the Solus Tent at the Wickerman Festival, on 24th July. We have also sent a demo to the T Break Tent at T in the Park – it’d be awesome to get a slot there.

What advice had you been given before you started this journey and what advice would you give someone just starting out?

The only advice we have had, has been to be cautious in who you are dealing with, as there are plenty who will promise much and be more interested in themselves than the band. That’s some pretty sound advice for anyone.
