Susan has the wonderful ability of listening to her favorite singers and adapting to their voice qualities. Only thing is, she is better!!! Patti Lapone's version cannot even stand up to Susan's version!

She is a star born, and in her right, for she has worked for this all her life. Now it is her time, God is blessing her now! Susan, go, take all that Heaven is raining upon you!

God Bless you!

You know it's funny how people can't just say,"Hey now there is a woman that has a hidden talent and she is good, real good.' But instead poeple want to say,"O'that can't be real who is singing for this is a joke right I'm being punked right." Nope not this time. This woman is a God gifted woman that has a voice that only God could have given her. So that God can show the world that there is good in all of us. And think about it didn't people say the same thing about David when he defeated Galith. Susan, I hope and pray that God gives you every thing you pray for. God bless you.

What the heck is a "setup"? Susan Boyle had a track on a charity CD ten years ago. I thought she said she was unemployed and wanted a chance to break into the professional music business. I read in several articles that she was known locally to be a good singer. Her church knew she was a good singer. The clientele and establishment at her local pub knew she was a good singer. I couldn't find anything that said she was or has been gainfully employed as a singer. You have evidence she misrepresented what she said on the show? You saying she was paid for this charity CD or paid for some other singing work and should be considered as a professional musician? I haven't seen any proof of fraud - like Susan Boyle lip-synching or a West End pro emerging from a Susan Boyle body suit.

I don't have proof but I'm pretty confident the TV producers edited the show's tape "favorably" to boost its ratings. Well, guess what - marketing and persuasion exists in just about everything humans do. We usually don't eat hamburgers inside the slaughterhouse.

what a bunch of whinners, lots of great talent is ignored until some magical moment,
i.e. Clint Eastwood, John Travolta, Albert Einsteine, etc. etc. etc. Ms Boyle is in a class very very small, i.e. Celine Deone, Barbara Steisand, Ella Fitzgerold, (sorry 4 the spelling)

Just like the wrestling Its a set up. Of course she has talent but the idea that nobody on the panel knew she could sing before she arrvived on that stage is ridiculous.Britain loves the loser who makes it and it makes great TV.

I think the individual who posted above is rather confused. They must be referring to American Idol. That shallow and pathetic show that worships marketability, youth, beauty, sex appeal and finally musical talent (in that order).

As for Britain's Got Talent. The show is ten times more interesting because they actually showcase talent, a variety of musical genres and they allow people over 25 to participate.

All these shows create staged moments and tease embarrassing comments out of various candidates. That's the only way TV ratings go up!

Yes, the fact they got the "never been kissed" comment out of Susan and an admission she was single at 47 was a coup for the producers, and it made for good TV. But all this mattered for not when she opened her mouth and began to sing.

The only conspiracy I can see in all of this, is how anyone could have kept her talent hidden for so many years only to expose her to the world through a reality TV show. I find that possibility rather hard to swallow!
